Description -
Savor piping hot sambar sprinkled with the goodness of vegetables and spices that are extraordinarily good. Sambar is a South Indian broth-based dish made with lentils, mixed vegetables, tamarind, herbs, spices, and a special spice powder known as sambar powder.
Ingredients -
Coriander (36%), Rice Flour, Red Chili (12%), Cumin, Fenugreek, Cinnamon.
How to use -
- Cook 400g of vegetables of your choice. Set aside.
- Cook 60 g (4 tbsp) of toor dal in 3/4 (750 ml) of water with 1 tsp of cooking oil and a pinch of turmeric.
- Grind 20g of MTR Sambar Powder with grated coconut and a little jaggery (if desired).
- Mix this with the cooked dal.
- Add the cooked vegetables, tamarind extract, and salt to taste. Boil for 8-10 minutes.
- Prepare the condiment by mixing 1 teaspoon of mustard and curry leaves in 1 teaspoon of cooking oil.
- Add to Sambar.
